Crime fighting across Wandsworth Borough and SW BCU |
||
Dear Members
Here are some excellent results I want to share with you all.
I wanted to provide you an update on Operation Acilius, an intel led operation which took place on Monday 8th September 2025. The results continue to demonstrate the impact this operation is having in tackling violent crime, drug supply, and high-harm offenders across the South West BCU.
Over the course of the deployment: • 6 arrests were made, including offenders linked to violence and drug supply. • 3 weapons were recovered, including a sword and two zombie knives. • Drugs seized included 22 snap bags of cocaine, 50 ecstasy pills, and 10 snap bags of cannabis. • £8,000 in cash was seized, alongside dealer phones and other evidence of supply.
Key incidents highlight the scale of disruption achieved: • A stolen Lexus, occupied by four masked males armed with a sword and zombie knives, was safely intercepted and all four suspects were arrested. • A proactive vehicle stop on London Road resulted in the recovery of 22 snap bags of cocaine, 38 Class A pills, and £7,000 in cash. The driver was arrested and the investigation is ongoing. • In Tooting, a male who attempted to evade officers by cycling away and garden-hopping for 20 minutes was located by a police dog. He was arrested in possession of Class B drugs.
The operation also generated valuable intelligence linking offenders and supply networks, strengthening our understanding of organised criminality across London.
Kind regards
Gani Rajan Superintendent Head of Wandsworth Neighbourhoods Policing | ||
